The STERN 160 IMS is a complete working center for end forming big diameter metal tubes, it has three numerically controlled axis plus two vices all hydraulically operated. Up to twelve different tools can be applied to the machine head so that a great number of shaping can be performed not the less switching tool only takes a couple of minutes. tubes of both steel and light alloys can be worked up to a diameter of 165 mm. operating the machine is extremely simple and does not require trained personnel. controlof the machine is done via Touch screen PC on which runs Pedrazzoli IMS 2000 control concept software. A loading system is also available.
